Jazz Jennings says she has an excessive eating disorder, earning £ 100

Jazz Jennings, star of “I Am Jazz” by TLC is a transgender activist, he publicly discussed his eating disorder in a social post on June 19th.

The 20-year-old told her 1.2 million Instagram followers with whom she has been struggling a binge eating disorder for the last two years. The post included a side-by-side comparison of a 2019 Jennings photo with a current Jennings photo.

“I suffer from eating disorder, a disease in which I am not only dependent on food, but eating in large quantities,” Jennings wrote. “My bingeing, with an increased appetite I experience from some of the medicines I have, has earned me almost £ 100 in just under 2 years.”

Jennings wrote that she posted the photo to hold her publicly “responsible” and to serve as a motivation to make healthier choices for her body and her mind.

“I’m ready to change my ways; I said I’m ready to turn a new leaf, but I’m missing the tree now,” Jennings wrote. “I am ready to take the initiative and create positive changes when it comes to my health and my body.”

According to the National Association of Eating Disorders, 3.5% of women and 2% of men will suffer from binge eating disorders at some point in their lives, although the number is probably higher because eating disorders are underreported.

Stanford Children’s Health reports that family support is one of the most important factors in helping a young person’s eating disorder recovery process.
