Henry Cavill said the James Bond director told him that he wasn’t skinny enough for the role.

“It was his tough, amorous way of saying, ‘Look, buddy, you’re at a Bond screen test. The next time you come to a screen test, really focus on making sure you bend over if it’s for something like Bond. ” And I was by no means plump, but I probably gained some extra weight by taking off my shirt in front of the camera, ”said 38-year-old Cavill.

Cavill feels pressured to stay fit as an actor

Cavill says there is pressure to stay fit in the industry, but most of the pressure comes from himself.

“I really want to do well, I want to be in good shape and I also want to play these roles right,” he said. “If I’m going to play roles like Superman and Geralt of Rivia, I need to be in good standing. It takes hours in the gym. ”

While Cavill said he always liked “being physical,” he isn’t always happy to get up at dawn to work out or head to the gym after a long day.
