Fawn Lopez steps down as publisher of Modern Healthcare

Fawn Lopez, longtime publisher and VP of Modern Healthcare, has announced that she will be retiring effective January 1, 2023.

Lopez joined Modern Healthcare as a junior publisher in October 2001 and was named publisher and vice president in May 2005. In over 17 years as the head of Modern Healthcare, a brand of Crain Communications, Lopez has navigated the changing media landscape, challenging economic conditions and dramatic changes within the company. healthcare industry. Despite all this, Modern Healthcare remains one of Crain’s leading brands and an authoritative source of news, analysis, and cutting-edge insights for industry decision makers.

During her tenure at the helm, Modern Healthcare has brought attention to the broader issues facing the industry, including diversity, the need to address health equity, and environmental, social, and governance issues.

Before joining Modern Healthcare, Lopez served as director of national advertising for Crain’s Chicago Business for two years.
