Chad Daybell’s grown children say he was “set up”

  • Chad Daybell’s grown children spoke with “48 hours” about their father’s charge of murder.
  • They denied that their mother had been killed and said they believed Daybell was blamed for the death of his current wife’s children.
  • Daybell has pleaded not guilty to three murder charges and will face trial this year.

The grown children of Chad Daybell, a doomsday cult husband accused of murdering his ex-wife and two of his current wife’s children, defended their father in a new interview.

Speaking from 48 o’clock, Daybell’s five children denied that their mother had been killed and said they believed Daybell was blamed for the Wallowe children’s deaths.

“We assume innocence in this country. Just because everything looks funny, we don’t put people in jail, ”Daybell’s daughter Emma Murray said in an interview: which airs in its entirety on CBS on Wednesday

Daybell’s ex-wife, Tammy Daybell, was found dead in her bedroom in October 2019, just weeks before Daybell married Wallow.

The bodies of Vallow’s children, 7-year-old Joshua “JJ” Vallow and 17-year-old Tiley Ryan, who were reported missing in November 2019, were found in Daybell’s grounds in June 2020.

Daybell and Vallow, whose beliefs about the end of the world became known immediately after their deaths, were charged with the murders of JJ and Tiley in May. Daybell was also charged with murder and insurance fraud in connection with the death of Tammy Daybell, while Wallow was charged with the murder of her ex-husband.

Murray said in an interview with 48 Hours that her father was blamed for the children’s deaths, saying that she believes that Wallow’s brother, who died a natural death in 2019, killed the children.

“This is his property. If corpses are buried here, they will be attributed to him, ”she said.

Regarding the mother’s death, the children said that although the cause of death was asphyxiation, they did not believe she was killed.

“Choking doesn’t necessarily mean choking,” added Mark Daybell. “As I understand it, it simply means that the breathing was interrupted. And in the end, she couldn’t breathe. And according to this, we need more facts. We’re not just saying, “Oh, good bye, Chad. No, there is still love, there is still a connection. “

Daybell has pleaded not guilty to these cases, and a trial is scheduled for November. 12 News

The prosecutor’s office is seeking the death penalty.

Vallow, meanwhile, was found unable to stand trial earlier this year and was sent for treatment in June.
