Zelda: Breath Of The Wild ‘Second Wind’ Expansion Mod Adds New Hinox King Boss Fight

One of the best Nintendo related mods we’ve seen in 2021 is by far The Legend of Zelda: Second Wind – Breath of the Wild Expansion… This is a “free large scale DLC” mod that adds new quests, areas, weapons, NPCs and enemies, and updates existing content.

He received updates all year round and is now a Breath of the Wild modder Vaikuteru shared a look at a “brand new” update that focuses on the Hinox King boss fight. This enemy can be located within a new area of the map called “Abandoned Mine”. This is one of the 12 bosses associated with the Hero’s Feats quest, where you will be rewarded with Hylian’s indestructible shield.

Here is a rundown of the quest from project page:

“This quest is unlocked when Link leaves Hyrule Castle after receiving the Chilian Shield. After receiving the quest from Monk Rui Nala, Link is tasked with going to the Champion’s Gate, east of the Gerudo Desert in the Gerudo Highlands. When Link reaches the location marked on the map, a shrine appears from under the ground – this is the shrine of Rui Nala.

“As Link enters the altar and reaches the main hall, the words Ancient Trials appear, signaling Link about the nature of this sanctuary. After talking with Monk Ruei Nala, Link is given the goal of defeating twelve bosses throughout Hyrule. Clues as the locations for these bosses are indicated in statues throughout the main hall. “
