XCOM 2 very good. Some have even called it one of the best PC games ever made. Even if you don’t agree with it, it’s still an incredible strategy game that pits aliens against humans in a large-scale global conflict. Now, through the last Epic Games Store gift you can get XCOM 2 nothing for a low price.
You have until April 21 get this great PC game for freebut I wouldn’t wait too much long. A week sounds like a long time, but suddenly it’s April 22nd and you missed a freebie. As with all previous Epic Store free games, once you take XCOM 2 it’s yours to keep forever. (Or at least until the heat death of the universe or the death of the Epic servers, whichever comes first.)
Developed by Firaxis and released in 2016. XCOM 2 is a turn-based tactical strategy game that is a sequel to (also very good) XCOM Enemy Unknown. In the sequel, you are not fighting the invasion, but fighting for survival during the occupation, as in XCOM 2The aliens have already won. And now, decades later, you and the remnants of the human resistance are trying to get out and maybe free the Earth from aliens. It won’t be easy. You will lose good soldiers. You will make mistakes. And you’ll be screaming in agony when you miss the “easy” throws that the damn game claims to hit with a 95% chance. But you will love every minute of it anyway.

Till XCOM 2 gorgeous, its extension, War of the Chosenmaybe even better. This adds new wrinkles – such as character bonding – to an already excellent XCOM 2 experience. The end result is such a good extension that the former Kotaku writer Nathan Grayson suggested that people just skip the vanilla experience and play first in addition.
Unfortunately, the extension is not included in the Epic Games Store promotion. But now it’s on sale by the 28th of this month for $10.
