Xbox Remaster ‘Toy Soldiers HD’ Delayed For Third Time On Switch

Toy Soldiers HD, the upcoming Xbox Live remaster of the arcade game, can’t seem to stop. After an August 2021 release was announced in May 2021, the game’s release was delayed until October of that year due to leaderboard issues.

At the time, the developers stated that they were “absolutely confident” that they would release all versions on October 21, 2021, which is true for all versions. Besides switch. Unfortunately, the release of the Nintendo Switch was delayed, and it wasn’t until July 2022 that the developers felt confident enough to pinpoint a release date: August 5, 2022.

We share your disappointment. We forced ourselves to achieve a simultaneous release. We believed we could make it.”

Now the August 5 release date has been canceled again as Accelerate Games announced that the Switch release will be delayed even further – although the game went through “extensive quality assurance testing”, there were multiplayer communication issues that led to the team deciding to put the game on hold for some more time.

“We all want you to enjoy Toy Soldiers HD to the fullest. Whether it’s single player or multiplayer, we want you to experience FPS Tower Defense hybrid gameplay.”
– Accelerate Games in a statement dated July 27, 2022

A new release date has not been announced, but we send our best wishes to the Accelerate Games team.
