It’s been about two weeks since the release of the massive 2.0 update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons, as well as the Happy Home Paradise DLC, so hopefully most of you are already doing well!

Thanks to two weeks of Brewster, gyroids, house design, and even the return of one Mr. Settti, we all had the opportunity to plunge into the post-2.0 world, and now we can ask you: what did you enjoy the most? so far?

I will go first so that no one is ashamed.

It would be too easy to say that my favorite part of the update is the entire Happy Home Paradise. This is a scam. But new design tools – partitions, uprights, ceiling décor, soundscapes, and accent walls – really sparked my love of interior design in-game.

Previously, it all boiled down to using tricks to achieve the desired effect: simple panels served as partitions, tables turned into kitchen counters, and so on. It’s now much easier to create interesting, varied rooms using official tools.

It’s amazing how small changes can lead to big ideas. Creative people have already discovered new ways to use new objects and tools – they turn glow-in-the-dark stickers into clear window panes, use partitions and accent walls to create a garden or balcony, and combine ceiling décor with floor furniture to make them look like they are inside. curtains or light. In this video you can see some new tricks, for example:

And since I write this and I can break the rules – I also really love the fact that many of the new 2.0 features are designed to make it easy for people to get back into the game.

The Beautiful Island ordinance allows me to clear out those weeds in no time (and there is always Leif’s weed removal service if it gets really bad), and Katrina’s friendship allows me to recover from my time away from home. Harva Island gives me easy daily access to Sahara, Kix and Redd so I can catch up faster, and Kapp’na boat tours give me access to seasonal islands where I can clear all recipes. and materials that I did not receive.

And yes, it all costs money, but with the Nintendo Switch Online app I can track turnip prices relatively easily, so I’ll quickly become a millionaire. Probably. Fingers crossed.

But with so many to choose from, which new additions to Animal Crossing: New Horizons do you like best – in the DLC or in the free update? Let us know in the comments!
