What song from a video game could you listen to for ten hours? – Point of conversation
We’ve all witnessed the rise in popularity of “Ten Hours” on YouTube, and while many of us may have scoffed – who needs ten? watch something that is neither a dream nor Lord of the Rings marathon? – I’ll say that I really listened to some of them on way longer than I’d like to admit.
Only I admit it right now because I am writing this article.
Of all the songs you could listen to for hours on end, it was Kirby’s Dream Land for me. Specifically this video:
Kirby’s Dream Land is chaotic, loud and like a lot listen once, let alone over and over again for ten hours. But somehow this works… Obviously, this is an absolute bop, but it kind of fits into the general atmosphere. YOU SHOULD WORK REALLY HARD AND FAST. In the end, I will write as if my hands were possessed by the ghost of an angry typewriter, and I dance furiously.
The Tetris theme is also really good for this, especially because you can come up with lyrics for it – my current words that I can sing along are “time for Tetris, time to play Tetris, time for Tetris, time for Tetris. “I’m not a lyricist, don’t come for me.
But on the other hand, there are also ten o’clock versions of music to calm heck from. This energized version of Ace Attorney’s Godot theme, Dark Coffee Scent, plus distant thunderstorm sounds, is great to use while working or sleeping (or whatever). It feels like you’ve set up your laptop in a cozy bar where drinks cost $ 20 apiece, but they drop in price gradually. I personally have never enjoyed coffee, but if it sounds like this, maybe it’s time for me to try it.
Of course video game music is great for continuous loops because it developed loop and listen for hours on end. I don’t think I’ll be able to listen to Bohemian Rhapsody for an hour in a row, let alone ten, but luckily no one asks me to.
