One of the most important aspects of any game, according to the author, is music. We’ve all been there: you can set foot on a new island in The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, or sail through the “Space Debris Galaxy” in Super Mario Galaxy as a new musical score plays in the background and fully stops you in your tracks.

An exceptional music track can be remembered for years to come; it ties us to our past, reminds us of simpler times, and—perhaps more than anything—gives us a wonderful sense of attachment to certain video games or franchises. Can you imagine walking through Pokémon Red and Blue’s Pallet Town without this? iconic soothing tune in the background? What about “Jungle Hijinxs” from Donkey Kong Country? Why, this level would be endlessly less memorable without it dizzy rhythmic rhythm!

However, we would like to know which music track is very best? We need your help with this guys: leave a comment below with your favorite Nintendo game music track. Later this week, we’ll collect as many as we can and do a poll to see who’s the best.
