What are you playing this weekend? (September 17)

*deep breath* This week was a Nintendo Direct! And it was packed full of games. But the big news is that weeventually, Know the title (and release date) of the sequel to Breath of the Wild. TEAR Continuation… The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom to be honest, it’s a lot less than a sip. And this box art… well, art.
Other Direct highlights include Pikmin 4, real-life, brand new Fire Emblem game with toothpaste-dyed hair protagonist and Octopath Traveler II bringing more HD-2D to Switch.
Elsewhere, we’ve broken down the new Zelda trailer in great detail and taken a look at Xenoblade Chronicles 3 developer Monolith Soft’s story with Nintendo, who happens to be working on Tears of the Kingdom. But we also took the time to review the MMO Pokémon-like Temtem, and we were very impressed!
Now some of our amazing writers have shared their plans for the weekend below and we’d love to hear what you guys are up to in the comments below! Enjoy reading!

Remember when I went on vacation thinking I would complete Xenoblade Chronicles 3 in the stated absence period? My saved data is approaching the 100th hour, and as far as I can tell, it’s far from over.
Throw in a mixture of hectic SD Gundam Battle Alliance and heavy upgrades, and the sad realization that I’m nowhere near as good as I remembered at Radiant Silvergun, and it’s my weekend in order… Assuming I can stay away from Splatoon is long enough 3, River City Saga Three Kingdoms and JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure All-Star Battle R. 48 hours is not enough.

I just downloaded the demo version of Harvestella – I don’t usually bother with demos, but this one, I think, requires me to try it myself. I love farming games, but I’m not a big fan of Square Enix JRPGs… they’re too long and have too many characters. Admittedly, so are farming games. But this is different!!!
It seems good so far, but it was pretty much one long cutscene. I hope to be able to do something soon. Also, is it just me, or is this almost exactly the plot of Bloodborne???

The recent Bayonetta 3 gameplay demos have made me feel a bit… well, deflated, for lack of a better word, I went back to Bayonetta 2 to try and cheer myself up again. I would go back to the first game, but I’m just not sure if I’ll have time to play both of them before the end of October, so I’ll have to do it. And yes, it’s still a gameplay masterpiece!
Elsewhere I play death thread on PS5, with all those “Director’s Cut” add-ons and stuff. It’s a really good game to just chill out when I want to chill out; walking through the beautiful countryside to the great music of the Low Roar will definitely leave unforgettable moments. It took me a few tries to really appreciate Death Stranding, but now I just can’t get enough of it.

Damn, what was Direct. Anyway, for me. I have some work to do this weekend so I won’t play too much. Since I think I need more RPGs and farming simulations, I’ll be picking up the demos for Harvestella and Jack Move on Switch. But also, I won’t shut up about the new theaterrhythm game, Final Bar Line, so to satisfy my appetite, I take out my 3DS to play Curtain Call!
To be honest, it’s probably going to be hard last fantasy weekend. I was pulled back into Final Fantasy XIV on PS5 thanks to the “callback campaign” – so that’s any other free time I could spend. Well. See you next week friends!

This weekend will be just like the last one for me: I’m trying my best to squeeze in some quality game time! I recently moved and spend every free moment surrounded by towers of unopened boxes that make me feel guilty for watching the series. boys before bed instead of putting things away.
I got to play one game a bit over the last couple of weeks, and I’d love to be able to spend some more time with it – with an eye to reviewing it for you folks. Please, Touch The Artwork has been a great company so far, a portable puzzle game with vibrant visuals and a brilliant sense of humor.
The premise is too complex to explain in the space I have here, but this video I linked to recently, featuring the developer himself, does a good job of introducing things.

II’ve been having trouble launching a lot of new games this summer but have never taken it upon myself to complete them, but this week everything has changed! I managed to wind up the credits for “Attack of the Friday Monsters”, “Elite Beat Agents”, “Late Alligator” and even Immortality on Xbox (don’t tell our bosses please!) While I still have a few games to finish (I’m looking at you Death’s Door and Digimon Survive), I think it might be ok to start something new!
While the campaign for Splatoon 3 looks incredibly tempting, I think I had an incredible desire to smash my GameCube and play something on my old school CRT TV! I started playing Metroid Prime earlier this week, and while I really should stick with it as I’ve never played it before, another part of me wants to dive into my Master Quest drive with The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time… The classics will always have a hold on me, I swear. But now Tunick is taking over, and Omori is gathering dust on my shelf! What am I doing? Someone send help!
As always, thanks for reading! Don’t forget to leave us a comment below with your game plans for the weekend!
