Another week has passed, bringing some interesting news from the world of Nintendo and the gaming industry in general. Of course, much attention has been paid to Microsoft’s planned acquisition of Activision Blizzard and its potential impact on the industry. Back at Nintendo Life, the Switch was confirmed to be the top-selling console of 2021 in the UK and US, Pokémon Legends: Arceus leaked early to no one’s surprise, a Switch system update took stability to the next level, and LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga release date scheduled for April.

After all this, it’s time to relax and discuss our game plans for the weekend. several metersmembers of the Nintendo Life team have done just that below, so feel free to read our entries and then join in with your own through our comment section. Enjoy!

It’s been a tough week for me and I’ve had to make a difficult and emotional confession to the Nintendo Life team. We gathered around, they handed me a “confession pillow”, and, pressing it to my chest, I plucked up the courage and said … I never played the banjo-case. I would like to thank the team for their support during this difficult time and I decided to play it on Switch this weekend.

In the other place I was half archaeologist, half mass murderer in Rise of the Tomb Raider. I have enjoyed the gaming equivalent of a popcorn blockbuster and will finish it before maybe jumping into some Hitman Trilogy.

I’m having a busy week and haven’t been out of the house for a few days, so hopefully this week I’ll be able to go out and touch the grass. Of course, all the grass is frozen and covered with snow, but I’ll try anyway. When it gets too cold, I’ll wrap myself up inside with hot chocolate and The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles, which I finally have time to finish reading – even though I’ve reviewed it, I still have a couple of things to do yet!!

solar striker was my very first Game Boy game in 1991, so I might be a little biased towards Pixel Game Maker Series THUNDER STRIKER, an online store offer that is very similar to Cat Cham how super mario land the sequel you never knew you needed. I’m still looking for geons. Geometric Wars: Galaxy and will also replay Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers on Gamecube.

Game of the week is Blackwind. I was a little worried that the Switch version might have a noticeable drop in graphics quality and performance, but my fears were not justified. Brilliant game out of nowhere!

After a bit of a hiatus from gaming (I had one of those “kids” stuff so my time was pretty limited), I’ll be returning to it this weekend with Banjo-Kazooie and a little game called The Legend. Zelda: Breath of the Wild. I have a feeling that the latter will be one of those games that I replay every year … at least until there is a sequel.

Elsewhere I play Horizon: zero dawn on PS5 ahead of the release of its own sequel next month. I’ve never really gotten into the game before (again, Breath of the Wild is to blame), but now I’m really enjoying it.
