What are you playing this weekend? (February 5th)

Another fun week at Nintendo Life has come to an end, and it has some exciting news. The main event was probably Nintendo’s third quarter financial results, which generally showed that Nintendo was making a lot of money; even shareholders are relatively happy, dammit. For you NFT watchers, a few projects have been abandoned on that front, while elsewhere MLB The Show 22 is coming to Switch (!), Yacht Club Games introduced Mina the Hollower (which is pretty good already), and Pokemon Legends : Arceus sells well because of course there is.

Also, as a side note, the lovely John Cartwright has now left Nintendo Life to take advantage of an exciting new opportunity, and we wish him good luck.

After all this, it’s time to relax and discuss our game plans for the weekend. several metersmembers of the Nintendo Life team have done just that below, so feel free to read our entries and then join in with your own through our comment section. Enjoy!

It’s been a busy week, so I haven’t made much progress in Pokémon Legends: Arceus in the last 5 days. I’m planning on getting stuck on this and have a mini review to work on as well and should be fun.

In the other place I’m still enjoying Hitman 1 thanks to the recently released Trilogy; I successfully killed someone with a giant moose decoration, so it looks like I’ve fallen into his trap. I also started another playthrough of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order because I’m a fan and a nerd.

I haven’t finished Pokémon Legends: Arceus yet, but I’m much more interested in the dirty exploration than the boss fights, and I feel like I’m getting close to some important ones, so I could play something else for the money. Little! Maybe Murder by the Numbers? This is a fun little Picross/Ace Attorney mashup.

I just received the Skyward Sword because there was a double gold points offer, AND I received a 10% discount on an online store gift card with our handy code “NLIFE10”. I’m not just advertising here, it was really nice to get a small discount. But I can’t play this until my partner has finished his big work project, which won’t be until March.

Another tough GameCube weekend with The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King and SoulCalibur II. Perhaps I am completing my front mission Campaign on Super Nintendo too.

Game of the week is bloody roots. This week-end surprise physics edition ensures that this weekend will be (literally) a damn good time.

So, you know, I said last weekend that I wasn’t going to buy Pokémon Legends: Arceus just yet? Well, I lied… sorry. I’ve been playing it for about a week and I’ve just battled this Kleavor thing, so hopefully this weekend I’ll be able to put in a few hours here and there and make some decent progress.

I don’t have any other plans yet. To be honest, I’m looking forward to the launch of OlliOlli World next week; this game looks incredible and I think it’s great that they named it after me.

Hello. This weekend, if I manage to find some free time, I’ll take my Switch and try to hide somewhere where my kids and wife can’t find me so I can finally make real progress in both Pokémon Legends: Arceus. and meetings in the dungeons.

I still love both of those games, and Arceus is actually my first real Pokemon game, so I’m determined to stick with them and finish them off without being distracted by anything else. I also picked up Sturmwind EX recently and got an absolute blast from it, so I might try hacking for a few hours with that too. Have a great weekend, whatever you do or play!

As always, thanks for reading! Don’t forget to leave us a comment below with your game plans for the weekend!
