What are you playing this weekend? (4 February)

Well, another week has passed and I still haven’t finished Fire Emblem Engage. This game is really fantastic and I keep putting many hours into it as the missions get longer and longer. I’d really like to see this completed before Advance Wars 1+2: Reboot Camp comes out, though at this point it could happen any day, right?
Also, I will be playing The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past on my GBA SP. I stick to what I always say: this the best console for public transport. My hands cramp a bit on long trips, sure, but the game library is top-notch.

I just downloaded Moonlighter on Switch because it cost a ridiculous £3 even though I already have it on Steam. I never gave it a chance before, so maybe now I can!
In addition, I continue my Stardew cooperative farm. We’re about halfway through fall the first year and we’ve just had chicks. It’s really inspiring to play a game you know with someone who doesn’t know anything about it and gain experience through them.

Do you want the truth? You want valid Truth? I managed to figure out how to get the 1992 PC game Dune (my original CD copy) to work on my Steam deck. I’m going to order so many Fremen, send out so many shipments of spice, and blindly send so many ornithopters into the desert that you’ll be dizzy, Muad’Dib.

More Persona 4 Golden for me this weekend. I still really love spending time with him and honestly I don’t want it to end. Luckily, I probably still have dozens of hours ahead of me, so I’m fine for a while!
Elsewhere I’m playing Hi-Fi Rush on Series X and I honestly can’t believe how awesome this game is. It almost looks like a GameCube game at its best! I just went through the section on The Prodigy. ‘Conquerors Must Die’ and I honestly haven’t felt this excited playing a video game in a long time.

No wonder, the Theatrhythm Final Bar Line demo just takes me by the throat. I’m always like, “Oh, I’ll just play a song or two” and then an hour goes by and I’m playing a few good tracks over and over trying to get that perfect chain on Ultimate. I’ve already gained a lot and I’m absolutely addicted. Will I ever be able to pass the “High” difficulty level? Ha… probably not.
I also decided to replay Hollow Knight because I just can’t stop thinking about Silksong. Not that it makes the wait any easier – Hollow Knight is phenomenal, and within minutes of picking it up again, I remembered why it’s one of my favorite games. I have the Mothwing Cloak and am going back to find things I missed in places like Deepnest and Crystal Peak. Hornet, we have big expectations of your adventure.

Between physical receipts and online shopping, it has certainly been a busy week. While I’m finishing up the Fire Emblem Engage endgame, I’m also getting really hooked on Trek to Yomi. As usual, I can’t resist retro games, so Cannon Dancer Osman and Wonder Boy Anniversary Collection are also getting their love this weekend.
Game of the week – Opus: Echo of Starsong. I know I’m late to the party, but after playing the OPUS Collection physical edition, I was immediately immersed in this gem. A modern character storytelling masterpiece not to be missed.
We hope you enjoyed reading! Add the game you’d like to play in the poll below and leave a comment with your game plans for the coming weekend!
