It’s been another big week for Nintendo Life, with a good deal of it coming to Switch. These are of course Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, which we naturally looked at for your reading / viewing pleasure. Elsewhere, the repercussions for GTA Trilogy continued with Digital Foundry analysis, Animal Crossing continued to spawn fun new surprises, Metroid Dread received a GOTY nomination, the Wii U is actually getting a new game, and we celebrated the GameCube and Wii anniversaries. Phew!
But now it’s time to relax and discuss our game plans for the weekend. Several metersThe Nintendo Life Team Embers have done just that below, so feel free to read our entries and then join your own via our comment section. Enjoy!

This week, I’ll be mostly avoiding Switch eShop like the plague. I already gave in to several cyber deals – I couldn’t resist Okami again for Switch OLED reasons, so I really should play some of the games I bought.
In fact, I plan to make more progress through Metroid dread… I guess I’m about halfway there, but I took my time wandering around and tracking down the extra rocket tanks. It’s such a great game that I’m a little worried about going back to previous posts. Samus has always had a unique staccato movement style that takes time to adjust to, but after sliding and running around in Dread, I got the feeling that older games would feel like slow when I return to them. Yet, whaddagame.

I have been looking through my wishlist on the online store to see if they are part of Cyber Deals and will probably pick up Tank Paladin have some fun on the weekend. Chances are I’ll light up too Rocket league just play in your best mode – Heatseeker.
In the other place I will probably keep playing Halo infinite Multiplayer beta which is pretty good and I still have to go back to my long journey through Mass Effect Legendary Edition…

I still play Animal Crossing: New Horizons! Which is wonderful in itself – I was afraid that I would fall off him again. But this time, I’m taking it slow and slow!

Hey guys! I won’t be getting Pokémon this weekend as I am missing the last episode. Instead, I dive into some familiar amenities with Super Mario Odyssey and Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze. In terms of pure gameplay, these are just two of the best games on the Switch, and I’ll happily play them anytime, anywhere.
As for Series X, it’s all about Halo Infinite, baby. Despite some ongoing issues with progress and overall content, I can’t believe how well the 343 have done well in gameplay; it’s sublime. If the campaign provides a strong storytelling, then I think it’s safe to say that 343 people have completely redeemed themselves.

Another great weekend with Switch and Wii. I’m still hooked Extreme Gas Eaters but it will take time to dive into the brilliant Iron Tails… Geometry Wars: Galaxies continues to be a great reminder that, in my old age, I must learn to enjoy the taste of humble pie. Should I have company for both Double Dragon IV and Double Dragon Neon just arrived in their gorgeous physical editions.
Game of the week – 1CC classic Space Moth: Lunar Edition… A great way to pass the time while waiting for next week. DoDonPachi Resurrection…
As always, thanks for reading! Be sure to leave us a comment on your game plans for the weekend!
