What are you playing this weekend? (11 February)

After a direct demonstration that will bankrupt me in the coming months, I a lot of that I’ll hopefully play this weekend.
The amount I can win back is a completely different matter. I’m away with friends for the next few days, so instead of diving back into The Minish Cap, I’m replaying some Leighton, or give up and buy Metroid Prime Remastered, I think it will mostly be a return to party games. Who am I to complain? I love Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Nintendo Switch Sports is quickly becoming one of my favorite games to play with friends, so it’s still going to be a good time.
If I find the time, then maybe I’ll do some more Fire Emblem Engages or finally start work on Persona 4 Golden. These aren’t exactly the kind of parties I want, but I can’t take anymore because the last one is just staring at me from my Switch home page…

This weekend is all about the beautiful hidden Metroid Prime Remastered and I can’t see anything other than immersing myself in the game to relive the experience. I’ve already played the first hour or so and after playing the original relatively recently I’m very impressed, it’s really great and looks fantastic, definitely one of the most impressive updates I’ve ever looked at. recently.
Elsewhere, if I have a little time to do something else, I’ll continue doing Bowser’s Fury with my kids. To be honest, I’m not 100% sure about this yet, it seems a bit rambling to me, but they seem to enjoy it and that’s all that really matters. Good weekend!

I only play one game this weekend and that is Metroid Prime Remastered. Ha ha ha I can’t believe I’m typing these words finally Here!
Again, if I have time, I’ll be sure to check out the Sea of Stars and Octopath Traveler II demos. Until today, I managed to play about two minutes of Sea of Stars and hu boyit’s a beautiful game!

This weekend, I’m proposing to rename this feature to “What are you NOT playing this weekend?” Because, well, I feel like it All. In any case, I, like everyone else, will be diving into Metroid Prime Remastered. I never played the original (sorry!) even though I saw my brother play part of it. This remaster means I can cross one of my biggest gaming sins off the list.
I also have Octopath Traveler II and Sea of Stars demos to sink my teeth into, and a whole library of Game Boy and GBA games to tinker with. I’ve already played some Tetris, but maybe I have a quick replay of Super Mario Land 2…

I’m looking forward to a physical copy of Metroid Prime Remastered, so to pass the time, I’m diving into the Switch Online Game Boy, Game Boy Color, and Game Boy Advance library this weekend. I’m slowly cleaning everything up. In fact, I’m almost done with Super Mario Land 2: 6 gold coins.
Other than that, I’m working on Mario Kart: Super Circuit, one of my favorite Mario Kart games, and I’m also spending some time with Kuru Kuru Kururin, a game I really haven’t paid enough attention to. in a day. Apart from these classic offerings, I will also try out Konami’s new Power Pros baseball game. Now in the Switch eShop it costs next to nothing. Great weekend to everyone!

Here, I thought I’d just complete Fire Emblem Engage this weekend, but no, one Nintendo Direct later, not only do I need to delay the final game to grab Hector Soren and Camille in the Divine Paralogue section of the world map. If that wasn’t enough, demos of the (sublime!) Sea of Stars, Octopath Traveler II (with data retention!) and Kirby Return to Dreamland Deluxe also pop up out of nowhere. All this along with classic Game Boy, Game Boy Color and Game Boy Advance games that are fun to replay. In any case, it was time to finish the Zelda Minish Cap.
Game of the Week – Metroid Prime Remastered. As I explained during the Retro Magum opus livestream, the importance of this game cannot be underestimated. It’s not a quick money grab either, the “updated” bit lives up to the moniker with Samus, Tallon IV and the Space Pirates looking better than we’ve ever seen!
