Few places in Warframe as shrouded in mystery as Zariman Ten Zero. The events that unfolded aboard this colony ship marked the beginning of the entire history of the Tenno and their quest to save the Source System. Now, with the release of free Zariman’s Angels expansions for Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, you can go back to where it all began and unravel the secrets of what happened on Zariman Ten Zero years ago.
Secrets of the past
After the climactic conclusion of last year’s cinematic quest New war, Zariman’s Angels picks up where the story left off. An obsessive and unearthly song is carried over the radio waves of the Source System. His source? Zariman Ten Zero. You must return to this derelict ship and face your horrific past to stop the song and the cosmic threat it heralds. In doing so, you’ll get a clearer picture of what actually happened to Zariman Ten Zero: how did this colony ship get trapped in the Void? What insidious force caused parents to rebel against their children? And, perhaps most importantly, what nightmares now haunt its abandoned halls, filling them with a divine chorus of songs?
Once you’ve completed the new quest, you’ll be able to take part in three challenging new game modes that will test your Warframe and Operator abilities in new and exciting ways. In Void Flood, you must make the most of your Warframe’s parkour abilities to collect the Vitoplast scattered throughout Zariman and use it to seal Void Rifts before the debilitating effects of Void Corruption overwhelm you. Seal too many Void Rifts, however, and you’ll incur the fury of the Thrax Centurion, a powerful and extremely nimble new enemy that can take on other bodies to continue its attack.
Void Cascade is a new endless mission in which you must stabilize the growing levels of Void Contamination by cleaning special machines known as Exolizers. However, stay alert. Each Exolizer you cleanse spawns a Thrax Centurion which, if not killed quickly, will manifest an even more dangerous Void Contamination. The more you clear Exolizers, the more chaos you unleash.
Finally, Void Armageddon will task you with protecting Zariman’s Reliquary from endless waves of enemies. To survive, you’ll need to repurpose older Zariman techs like Exodampers, which debuff nearby enemies, but if destroyed, instead give them powerful but random buffs. As the onslaught increases, you can build additional defensive suppressor turrets, such as the Pharadon Turret, which emits flashes of lightning that hit multiple opponents.
Enter Dormisona
Secrets of the past aren’t the only things you’ll discover as you wander Zariman. In our new Chrystalith social hub, you can meet up with other players and easily start new missions together. Create a new Syndicate to unlock powerful Void-mutated Incarnon weapons that evolve and develop new abilities as you use them. Or invest in items to decorate and update your very own apartment in Dormison, a fully customizable space to relax between excursions to the lower decks of Zariman. By reaching the maximum rank in the new Syndicate, you can even upgrade your apartment to a Vista Suite with your own Vistagraph. This machine allows you to further personalize your dormizone by changing its appearance to capture stunning otherworldly landscapes.
