The point-and-click genre has seen a pretty welcome resurgence in recent years, and the Switch eShop is well supported. Another that should be soon VirtuaVersedeveloped by Theta Division, due out on October 28th.
As you can see in the trailer above, it will have a hacker / cyperpunk vibe in the “not so distant” future; you can see some of it Steam description below.
In the near future, one artificial intelligence will prevail over all other AIs and their governments. Society has moved into an ever-integrated reality connected to a single neural network that continually optimizes people’s experience by processing personal data.
Nathan, an outsider who still refuses to comply with the new system, makes his living off the network by smuggling modified hardware and jailbroken software. Equipped with his own personalized headset, he is one of the few who can still turn off the AVR and see reality as it really is.
User reviews on Steam are generally very positive; some of the drawbacks mentioned are due to the difficulty (perhaps obscure) of some of the puzzles, although the developers have since added an “easy” mode that will hopefully be included in the Switch version.
The developer also confirmed on social media that the Switch version includes touchscreen support, which is an extremely welcome addition for those who like to play handheld games like this.
