Video: We played No Man’s Sky on Switch – here’s what we thought

We’re only a few days away from No Man’s Sky’s Switch release on October 7th, and it’s fair to say we were nervous seeing how revealing it was. massive the game will run on a small Nintendo console.

After the huge game update we’re currently discovering in the wild, it seemed unlikely that the Switch could handle the amount of interstellar content needed to keep No Man’s Sky the experience people have come to love ever since. launched back in August 2016. When we learned that it was coming to Switch, our curiosity about the scope of the project and the inevitable trade-offs for it to run on Nintendo hardware grew even more.

We now had the opportunity to visit Hello Games and get our hands on an early version of the game to see if our fears were ever justified. Answer: well, we would not have told you that here, now we would! You will have to watch the video above to find out about it, but we will say that we were pleasantly surprised by what the developer managed to do.
