Video: Mass Effect Gets Advance Wars Style GBA Demake

Have you ever wondered what Mass Effect might look like if it was inspired by the Intelligent System game? Frontline wars row? If you have, you’re in luck! YouTube channel 64 Bits has uploaded his own Mass Effect Advance Wars style demake concept as part of a series of short demakes he is working on.

The game is officially called “Advance Effect: Legendary Edition” and the Advance Wars gameplay seems to fit Mass Effect. While the Mass Effect series has had nothing to do with Nintendo platforms over the years, BioWare had plans for an FPS DS game based on the series years ago. Mass Effect 3 was also eventually released on the Wii U.

As for Advance Wars, the latest entry for the Switch, bringing together the first two games, was recently delayed. Hopefully we’ll get a release date soon. In the meantime, watch the video above and tell us what you think of this remake? Want more themed games in the style of classic Advance Wars visuals? Leave your thoughts below.
