Upcoming Nintendo Switch Games and Accessories for December 2021 and January 2022

Damn, it’s already the end of the year! Yeah, 2021 flew by unnoticed … like lightning. Ah, take it easy with us – it was one of those extra long / super short years!

Yes, ahead of 2022, we’ve taken the liberty of taking stock of the upcoming highlights of the big Switch games coming out in December and January. Whether you’re looking to expand your brain, or tarnish it with adorable Danganronpa-themed mud, or travel back in time to catch Pokémon in the past, there is plenty to dig into in the next couple of months.

Under the physical launches below, you’ll also find a selection of other games released since December – usually physical versions of Switch eShop games that were previously digital only – as well as a selection of Switch accessories and related peripherals that will be available in the coming months as we start looking for the New Year and beyond.

Announced on Quiet Thursday in early September, Big Brain Academy is a slightly more relaxed brother to Brain Age / Brain training from the Nintendo DS era – returns with Big Brain Academy: Brain vs. Brain on Switch.

In 4-player battles, you can also battle brain specialists from around the world through a new online mode in which you challenge alien ghost data in a brain-versus-brain scenario. It’s on December 3 – Today! – and we enjoyed it. Check out our review to find out exactly how much.

Four servings of Danganronpa drop out on the same day, so there’s a lot to get stuck in the holidays if you’re a fan of this darkly hilarious visual novel series. All games are available separately on the Switch eShop, including the 10th Anniversary Editions of Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc, Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair Anniversary Edition, Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony Anniversary Edition, and the new Danganronpa S: Ultimate Summer Camp.

Confirmed on January 28, 2022 The launch of Pokémon Legends: Arceus takes place a long time ago in the Shino region (4th generation for non-Poké fanatics) and the adventure of composing the very first Pokédex in the region awaits. We recently revisited this region in the remakes of Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl Switch, but in this spin-off we are going back in time that looks like it could shake up the time-tested and time-tested. -small formula of basic games.

It promises a new flavor of Pokémon adventure, and we’re thrilled to see how this extra income can propel Pokéverse in a new direction in 2022.
