UK Charts: Super Mario Odyssey Continues to Sell Well in Quieter Week for Nintendo

The latest figures from the UK boxed charts are here, and they show a slightly quieter week for Nintendo amid stiff competition.
Continuing its triumphant comeback from last week, Super Mario Odyssey has managed to improve on its previous numbers and this time around it managed to land in seventh place thanks to some remaining sales from the March 10th day and a recent Switch set.
Along with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe at number five and Minecraft at number ten, these three games make up Nintendo’s only top ten appearances this week, with all the big hits coming from other consoles. Resident Evil 4 debuts in first place, 73% of sales come from PS5. Hogwarts legacy remains in second place while last week’s champion, VVE 2K23drops to fourth place.
Elsewhere, Metroid Prime Remastered fell from fifth place last week, dropping outside of the top ten to 13th. Interestingly, every game from 11th to 23rd is a Nintendo property this time around (e.g. Animal Crossing New Horizons and Nintendo Switch Sports at the top, Breath of the Wild and Splatoon 3 at the bottom), so maybe next We’ll see a return to form for placement on the Switch chart next week.
Without further ado, here’s your take on the top ten:
