While Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl are remakes, there is a lot to reveal in the Switch releases.
One thing you may have noticed is the new hidden story found in the Canalave library. As IGN explained, this text was not in the original game and may be on the second floor of a building. It is called the “Marine Legend” and was apparently “discovered very recently”, so its “ancient letters” were deciphered quite recently. Here’s the tale in full:
“Once upon a time there was a Pokemon in the East Sea. known as a prince. One brave man asked the Pokémon living in the sea to let them see the prince. Mantike, Busel and Quilfish with huge thorns recognized the man’s courage and joined them. Together they set out in a boat on the sea, bathed in streaks of sunset, through the ocean gate, stretching over the waves. The news of this reached the ears of the prince, who went to meet the brave little group in the Seaside Hollow. “
This is the scale of the story, and it has already spawned many theories, one of which is that it is actually a tease. something about the upcoming release of Switch, Pokémon Legends: Arceus… There is no known location in the main series called “Seaside Hollow,” and there doesn’t seem to be any reference to recent remakes. “Prince”, although this name “Manafi” occurs in Pokemon Ranger and the Temple of the Sea film, although anime and games do not usually overlap.
IGN also notes that the embargo on remakes of Diamond and Pearl prevented the media from discussing or disclosing the contents of any of the books in the Conclave Library until the peer-review embargo was lifted, suggesting it is a mockery.
