The Sea Trail: Déjà Vu is an “existential” experience that will soon change

With the nights getting longer and darker (at least for those of us in the Northern Hemisphere), the prospect of a relaxing walk is now becoming a little less appealing. If you should be looking for a few hours of relaxed and contemplative in-game walking simulators, another one is coming to the Switch online store this week.

Sea trail: Deja vu arrives November 24 at a price of USD 6.99 / EUR 6.99, with a 20% discount on cards. This is a game from Tonguç Bodur, a prolific developer who focuses on this genre and storytelling. It was pretty well received on steam, and below is part of the official description.

Before you lies a huge and mysterious world that hides the truth about your existence and echoes the memories of past lives. Created by Tonguch Bodur’s tenth game, Drizzlepath: Deja Vu is a reimagining of his first creation, a standalone game available to any player.

In Drizzlepath: Deja Vu, you play the role of a nameless man ascending a mountain in search of answers. Watch the events as you explore, each gradually being added to the larger existential narrative. Contemplate the cryptic and cyclical nature of memory through abstract narrative and beautifully detailed environments punctuated by ominous imagery that is more mysterious than frightening, a beacon that guides you forward.

It is in many ways a game that is designed to get to know its atmosphere, with a likely play time of 1-2 hours.
