The Nintendo Switch update for Grand Theft Auto Trilogy is now available, here are the full patch notes

After updating to other platforms over the weekend, Rockstar now appears to have released the latest updates for Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – Ultimate Edition on Nintendo Switch live.

There are several fixes for Switch and various general fixes for all platforms. These are the current versions of each game on Switch as of November 23rd:

  • GTA III: version 1.0.3
  • Vice City: version 1.0.4
  • San Andreas: version 1.0.3

Here are the full patch notes, courtesy of the official Rockstar support page. Note. As you can see, the switch updates are ahead of version 1.02, but the latest patch notes still apply.


Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition 1.02 Patch Notes (PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch)

General – All platforms

  • Fixed several localization issues
  • Fixed several cases of missing or misaligned collisions
  • Fixed several instances of holes in the map
  • Fixed multiple instances of incorrect or misplaced textures
  • Fixed several cases of camera clipping through objects.
  • Fixed several cases of displaying incorrect subtitles.
  • Fixed several cases of displaying incorrect help text.
  • Fixed several instances of misplaced objects
  • Fixed several cases of problems with character models in cutscenes.
  • Fixed several cases of skipping, delaying or repeating audio lines.

Grand Theft Auto III – Ultimate Edition

  • Fixed issues with blurry frames and camera transitions during the Grand Theft Aero cutscene.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the Pay ‘N’ Spray doors to be closed, preventing the player from entering
  • Fixed a bug due to which game kiosks and props appeared in the Gone Fishing cut-scene.
  • Fixed a bug due to which the player failed the Thief mission with the message “Thief is dead” after playing the cutscene.
  • Fixed a problem with the failure of the Last Requests mission due to Asuka falling from the boat.
  • Fixed an issue with no GPS route when driving Curly Bob in a taxi during the Cutting The Grass mission.
  • Fixed a bug due to which the damage meter was incorrectly displayed in the mission escort service.
  • Fixed a hole in the map that allowed players to access Staunton Island earlier.
  • Fixed an issue that caused Claude to hover in the cutscene for the mission Big ‘n’ Veiny.
  • Fixed an issue that resulted in character models not animating during the Luigi’s Girls mission cutscene.
  • Fixed a bug due to which the character models did not animate during the cut-scene for the mission Give me freedom.
  • Fixed a bug due to which the player could increase the running speed by quickly changing weapons.
  • Fixed an issue where the mid-mission cutscene would start, then turn black, and then restart again during the Sayonara Salvatore mission.
  • Fixed an issue that resulted in the game crashing when entering a vehicle after the Triad War ended (Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One).
  • Fixed an issue that prevented the achievement “Disposing of the Evidence” from unlocking after completing Dead Skunk in the Trunk mission (Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One).
  • Fixed an issue resulting in language setting changes not being saved across reboots (Nintendo Switch).

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City – Ultimate Edition

  • Fixed an issue that resulted in players being unable to pan the camera up or down while driving at high speeds.
  • Fixed an issue that caused fire truck lights to flash with incompatible colors.
  • Fixed issue with displaying GPS route during Autocide mission.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the Pay ‘N’ Spray doors to be closed, preventing the player from entering
  • Fixed issue with displaying multiple GPS routes during Gun Runner and Psycho Killer missions.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the Hit Rate UI to display incorrectly during the Gun Runner mission.
  • Fixed a bug due to which peds were incorrectly displayed in the cutscene of The Chase mission.
  • Fixed an issue that caused Tommy Vercetti’s character model to go into a T-pose during the cutscene for In the Beginning.
  • Fixed an issue that resulted in the game crashing when switching from TV mode to table mode during the loading screen.
  • Fixed a bug due to which the message “Error: insufficient video memory when trying to select a texture! Make sure your graphics card has the minimum required memory, try lowering the resolution. ”Exploring North Point Mall (Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One)
  • Fixed an issue that caused the camera to pop up during the cutscene for the All Hands on Deck mission (Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One).
  • Fixed an issue resulting in language setting changes not being saved across reboots (Nintendo Switch).

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas – Ultimate Edition

  • Fixed an issue with the visual effects of rain.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the camera to rotate quickly when completing or failing the Blood Bowl.
  • Fixed a bug due to which the camera was incorrectly positioned when returning to the gameplay after finding Sweet in the mission “Family Reunion”.
  • Fixed an issue where the bridge in Flint County was invisible.
  • Fixed an issue where players could equip weapons while swimming, which could cause the weapon to cut through the character’s body.
  • Fixed a bug due to which the wrong help text was displayed for swimming.
  • Fixed a bug due to which the results screen was displayed at the beginning of Bike School – Jump and Stoppie.
  • Fixed an issue with gray pedestrians spawning around Willowfield and Playa del Sevilla.
  • Fixed a bug due to which the pedestrian looked partially translucent in the Just Business cut-scene.
  • Fixed issue with incorrect display of legal text.
  • Fixed an issue where the Enforcer lights were not blinking.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented players from being able to kill Paul and McKer until the cutscene for the Don Peyote mission started.
  • Fixed a bug that caused the game to restart from the very beginning when choosing to retry from the last checkpoint on the High Stakes, Low Rider mission.
  • Fixed an issue with an invincible enemy during the Los Desperados mission
  • Fixed an issue with incorrectly inverted controls when swimming underwater when toggling them on or off.
  • Fixed an issue with aiming sensitivity for the Pistol Ammu-Nation Challenge.
  • Fixed a bug due to which progress was blocked due to premature killing of Sweet during the Green Saber mission.
  • Fixed a bug that prevented help text from disappearing, ultimately preventing muscle growth from being shown in any gym.
  • Fixed an issue with incorrect display of time when collecting rings during BMX or NRG-500 trials.
  • Fixed an issue with camera warping during the In the Beginning cutscene.
  • Fixed a bug due to which some character models did not animate during some cutscenes.
