NIS America has announced that The Legend of Heroes: Trails to Azure will be released March 14, 2023 in North America and March 17, 2023 in Europe on Switch! There’s also a brand new story trailer to dive into and prepare for an explosive finale next spring.
Kiseki/Trails fans shouldn’t have to wait too long to get to the final half of the Crossbell arc after the release of Trails from Zero this September. Azure is the fifth game in Nihon Falcom’s Trails series and the fourth to be released on Switch in the West.
Trails to Azure continues the story of Lloyd Bannings and the dedicated support section after the previous game’s dramatic conclusion. Originally released in Japan on the PSP in 2011, this is the first time the game has been officially released in English – the same as Zero – and will once again use a fan-made Geofront translation as the basis for its own localization. This time, SSS gets two more members, and everything seems to be on track. off the track. And, if you’re a Trails fan, you know you’re in for a wild ride.
Here’s what we know about the game so far cook for a couple page:
After the events of Trails from Zero, the Special Support Section has new members and new responsibilities. However, rising tensions in Crossbell along with pressure from two neighboring political forces threaten both the security of their home and the integrity of their team.
The story of aspiring hero Lloyd Bannings continues in Trails to Azure!
Just a few months after the events of Trails from Zero, a temporary calm reigned over Crossbell, and the Special Support Division, thanks to their heroic actions, gained newfound fame and status.
However, the peace is soon disrupted due to the emergence of several organizations with ulterior motives. Framing this growing tension is growing pressure from the Erebonian Empire and the Republic of Kalvard, between which Crossbell is stuck. With the safety of their home and the backbone of their team now at stake, Lloyd and his allies must prepare for the threats that lie ahead. Little do they know that Crossbell will soon become the scene of a decisive conflict that will determine its future…

So we’ll be back in Crossbell early next spring. This gives you about five months to clear the Trails from Zero barrier. We gave the first game in the Crossbell duology a 9/10 in our review, so if the second half is as good as the first, then something special is in store for us.
