The Land of Lost Dreams is calling… – PlayStation.Blog

The spooky season is almost here – and what could be scarier than a purgatory filled with half-finished ideas and forgotten concepts? Our yearly Halloween celebration made in dreams is almost ready to welcome you – and all your ruthlessly abandoned work in progress, you monster in the Land of Lost Dreams.

This year, we asked Dreams community to create strange and unusual glades for players to explore in our Dark Forest, and Cursed trinkets that embody the essence of their creative energy. And oh my god, how many of them do they have. Our eyes have seen truly inexplicable things. The cosmic void will be well fed this year.

‘But when we fall into the void of space?” we hear you crying and wailing and grinding (you really should stop doing this, it’s terrible for your teeth). We are pleased to announce that All Hallows’: The Land of Lost Dreams will be streaming on Dreams and open to the public from October 20, 2022! (An internet connection is required to play online.)

What is waiting for you there? Here is a quick overview of some of the main attractions in the area…

Tales and bizarre quests

The Land of Lost Dreams is a curious place with a rich and exciting history. You will meet and help a variety of strange characters on your main quest by sneaking around, solving puzzles, and more. Some faces may be familiar even to those who have been following the development of Dreams for a long time …

forest of darkness

One of the most beautiful and unpredictable locations in the Land of Lost Dreams, this wooded area to explore contains all sorts of interactive oddities created by the Dreams community. Take a walk! See the sights! Don’t think too much about what might be lurking in the bushes!

Shrines of Cursed Trinkets

Want to soak up some culture? Look no further than the fabulous collection of cursed trinkets crafted by dreamers in the Land of Lost Dreams. You’ll have to visit some strange places to find them, but we’re sure that as long as you’ve got your tetanus shot, they’re probably safe to visit.

We’re only scratching the surface really – there’s more to come in Land of Lost Dreams when it arrives in Dreams next month. If only there was some kind of travel brochure that potential visitors could read for more information, provided by a completely legal tourism board? Here it would be useful. Better keep an eye out for something like this on our editorial blog. Impsider.

Streams and screams!

We’ll also be hosting two Halloween-themed livestreams on the official Mm Twitch channel to celebrate the season! Our first stream will be on the launch day of All Hallows: The Land of Lost Dreams at 9:00 AM PT / 5:00 PM BST, 20th October, in which we will run the full event and check out the many demos created by the community.

Second stream at 9:00 AM PT / 5:00 PM BST 21st. October will be a more general spooky session; we’ll be playing some of the scariest games available in Dreams so you can all have a good laugh as we scream while we’re being chased by monsters. And yes, we will be in costumes.

Not only that, we will also be hosting our regular Halloween Community Jam throughout October. Dreammakers love their horror, so you can bet your sweet gourds that something terrifying will come of it. The results will be available to play during the launch week of All Hallows: The Land of Lost Dreams, so fear not: there won’t be a shortage of things to tickle your dreaded bones (it’s hot right now, we figured) in Dreams next month.

We really enjoyed bringing All Hallows’: The Land of Lost Dreams to life and we can’t wait for you to come and explore this place when the in-game event kicks off on October 20th. Unlike all those abandoned ideas languishing in the Land of Lost Dreams, this one is sure to be… unforgettable.
