The ‘Kingdom Hearts Integrum Masterpiece’ collection changes the whole saga

It turned out yesterday that lots Goodness Kingdom Hearts is heading to Nintendo Switch to celebrate Sora’s appearance in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. We now have more detailed information about the games that lie ahead, and we still have a lot to unpack.

Three titles were announced yesterday – Kingdom Hearts – HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMix, Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue and Kingdom Hearts III – technically contains just ten “games” which Square Enix notes are “the complete saga of Sora’s exploits at the moment.” Completion of all this content will be as follows:Kingdom Hearts Integrum Masterpiece‘collection, universal digital package.

By purchasing this collection, you will receive all three of these sets in one, that is, a total of ten “experiences” (358/2 Days and Re: Coded will be here only a set of cut scenes, plus χ Back cover also a movie). The entire collection will be cloud-based on Switch, so we’re sure a lot of fans will have their own reservations, but seeing an entire series hit the new system overnight is really something.

To explain a little better, here’s a full rundown of how you can play the complete set:

The first collection includes the following:

FINAL MIX KINGDOM HEARTS – An RPG that introduced players to Sora and the worlds of KINGDOM HEARTS for the first time. It has been enhanced with updated HD visuals, improved controls, redesigned soundtrack, and more!

KINGDOM HEARTS Re: Chain of Memories – After the dramatic events of the first game, Sora, Donald and Goofy find themselves in the mysterious Oblivion Castle and an adventure that threatens one of their most precious treasures – their memories. This game complements the original RPG gameplay of the series with an innovative card battle system – one of the most unique games in the series.

KINGDOM HEARTS 358/2 days (HD remastered) “This story focuses on Roxas, a young man who has a special bond with Sora. This release features videos from the original game enhanced with additional text and reworked in HD.

FINAL MIX KINGDOM HEARTS II – Sora, Donald and Goofy reunite in an epic RPG that takes them to incredibly memorable and unexpected Disney worlds.

KINGDOM OF HEART Sleep-born FINAL MIX – This is a real fan favorite. This is a prequel that features three new playable characters: Terra, Ventus, and Aqua. The story of these three friends is heartfelt, emotional and has a lot to do with the KINGDOM HEARTS saga.

KINGDOM HEARTS Re: Coded (HD Remastered Cinematics) – This story takes the virtual Sora, appropriately named Date Sora, into the digital world to find answers to a mysterious message. The collection contains only improved cinematography.

KINGDOM HEARTS χ Back cover (film) – This special film takes you back into the timeline of the series and tells the story of the fortunetellers.
