With only a few days left before the Splatoon 3 Chill Season 2022 update releases on December 1st (or November 30th for America), Nintendo has begun revealing when we can expect the season to kick off.
There’s no word yet on anything related to Splatfest, but we now know that Big Run – the upcoming new game mode – will debut at the event on the weekend of December 10-12 (or December 9-11 at 4pm PT ). for those in the States). @NintendoEurope shared this announcement on Twitter along with a selection of photos showing what could be in the new challenge.
The Big Run looks like a variation on the classic Salmon Run format, only bigger. You no longer have to fly to a remote island to fight hordes of salmon (unless you’re playing Salmon Run, of course), as these new events will see those pesky little fish come to our prized stages.
The first stage to be attacked by salmon in the December event will be Wahoo World. Yes, there are reasons to simply let the salmon keep it, but we must put aside this disgust and rally to keep them out of our territory!
Who knows what stage will be the next goal after the first weekend of the event? One thing is for sure: Chill Season 2022 will provide Splatoon 3 with a much-needed update.
