Mario games have been a major part of the Nintendo fandom for decades. Mario as a solo brother has been around even longer than his own series, first appearing, of course, as Jumpman in 1981’s Donkey Kong.
Despite his name in the title, the Mario franchise isn’t just about Italian plumbing. He was joined by his loyal brother Luigi in the first Mario Bros. arcade game. in 1983, who also has his own successful franchise with the Luigi’s Mansion series. Aside from this double trouble duo, you have Princess Peach, Toad, Yoshi, and a bunch of antagonists to head-butt as you run and jump on your way through the Mushroom Kingdom. Wario is Mario’s nemesis (well, besides that fire-breathing guy Koop) and appears as a villain in Super Mario Land 2 and numerous multiplayer Nintendo games. He also stars in his own Wario Land and WarioWare franchises.
Steven’s take on Wario combines a classic look with a military approach (Wariofare?) that really suits the character. The cosplay was inspired by a series of YouTube videos. Mario Warfare by BeatDownBoogie, as well as Call of Duty. Steven likes the different designs of Wario, but being a fan of WarioWare games, he decided to go for a design similar to this one. Since most of his clothes were drawn or dyed by himself, props are Steven’s favorite part of cosplay as they can really get him into character.

Luigi is often seen as the cowardly buddy brother of protagonist Mario, but when Luigi’s Mansion hit the GameCube in 2001, it was his turn to become a hero. With his famous jumpsuit and Polterghast, the ghoul-catching vacuum cleaner, Luigi battled King Boo and many other ghosts in three games.
The changeling is a big fan of Luigi and has cosplayed many versions of the tall Italian plumber. His favorite cosplay is the version of Luigi’s mansion. Changeling loves how we see Luigi take center stage and face his fears. Changeling’s jumpsuit is a vintage ’90s Clockhouse bought from Depop, and the Poltergust G-00 is a real vacuum cleaner filled with green oil slime and LED lights that make it glow. As part of Luigi’s cosplay, he made himself an artificial nose and mustache.

Groosetastic loves the scary and goofy side of Bowser and wanted to be able to incorporate that funny side into his cosplay. They designed and created their own version of Bowser, using recognizable characteristics added to the design, such as his horns, shell, and color scheme. Groosetastic also wanted to emphasize King Koop Bowser’s side, with the cape and tabard design reflecting this and giving the cosplay a unique touch.
6. Princess Daisy

Princess Daisy is a lesser-known princess in the franchise who has only ruled Sarasaland since her first appearance in Super Mario Land on the Game Boy in 1989. It is often rumored that Daisy is Luigi’s girlfriend, although Mario is the “hero” in the game. her games. It is mostly handmade, from the tailoring of the dress and its structural layers such as the petticoat, to resin gem casting and wig styling. Illusion Optics used its more simplistic design rather than more detailed features in games such as Smash Bros. because it liked the suit’s traditional cartoon style.
