Tetris Effect: Connected gets another update on the Switch, here’s what’s included

Switch version Tetris effect: connected got another update earlier this month. This latest patch brings the game up to version 1.3.3.

The official support page has now shared the full details, revealing a number of changes for all platforms. He is also aware of certain exploits related to the system clock on the Switch. Here is the complete information:

[ALL] Added an SR Disconnect Penalty status for players exhibiting an abnormally high disconnect rate in RANKED MATCHES. We will monitor how well this helps deter fraud and make adjustments as necessary.

[ALL] Adjusted matchmaking to prevent players from leaving the lobby in most competitive Ranked Matches – ZONE BATTLE, SCORE ATTACK, and CLASSIC SCORE ATTACK – once an enemy has arrived. Instead, players are automatically “ready” and the countdown to the match begins. The CONNECTED and CONNECTED VS modes, as well as all modes within FRIEND MATCH and LOCAL MATCH, behave the same as before.

[ALL] Spectators can now leave during a FRIENDLY MATCH.

[ALL] Changed the CPU replacement level of players when a player disconnects in CONNECTED and CONNECTED VS. modes. (Previously, players were replaced with a CPU of the same level (1-10) as their level (1-10). Now, players of any level from 1 to 5 will be replaced with a level 5 CPU.

[ALL] Changed display name to “CPU” when player is replaced by AI in CONNECTED and CONNECTED VS. modes.

[ALL] Added “Full Moon” event to MY RECORDS > STATISTICS: MULTIPLAYER (RANKED MATCHES). (The display alternates between Normal and Full Moon WINS and WINS every five seconds.)

[ALL] The game now saves any camera position configured by the player for each MULTIPLAYER mode.

[ALL] Fixed a bug that caused the GAME OVER message to appear when all blocks turned into dark blocks in PURIFY mode.

Other minor adjustments and bug fixes.

[SWITCH] Setting the Nintendo Switch system clock to a future time and posting online multiplayer scores and then resetting them back may prevent your online multiplayer scores from updating. Please do not change the system clock when playing an online multiplayer game.
