Super Smash Bros. Online Challenge Ultimate launches this month (Europe)

Nintendo is set to launch a “European Online Challenge” for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, which will run from 18:00 to 21:00 (CEST) / 17:00 to 20:00 (BST) on May 20, 2022.

The event allows participants to compete in 1v1 matches via the Online Tournament menu; players will be limited to two lives and matches will last up to 5 minutes each. Stages will be limited to the Battlefield and Omega variants with Final Smash items, hazards, and meters disabled; so this will be a real test of your Smash skills.

At the end of the event, top 10 participants on the leaderboard will receive 2,500 My Nintendo Gold Points, while the top 100 participants will each receive 1,000 Gold Points. Winners will be announced by Nintendo on May 30th.

The terms and conditions set out by Nintendo state that participants must have an active Nintendo Account registered in one of the eligible countries (see below). nintendo announcement complete list) along with access to Nintendo Switch Online. If players change their country settings during the event or at any time prior to claiming prizes, they will be disqualified.
