The Hamster team continues to release weekly classics for the Arcade Archives series, with a familiar name coming up next to the online store. SUPER PAC-MAN will be released this week (January 6th) for $ 7.99 / € 7.99.

The superb in the title is because it is a sequel to the original arcade, and to be honest, it’s a cooler title than Pac-Man 2. Some of the details are below, and the press release puts a lot of emphasis on capital letters:

SUPER PAC-MAN is an action game released by NAMCO in 1982. This is an additional boost to NAMCO’s flagship game “PAC-MAN”! Eat SUPER POWER PELLETS to become invincible and gain speed boost! After that, eat the POWER PELLET and become a SUPER PACK MAN to destroy all the ghosts at once!

It will have all the usual Hamster benefits, but keep in mind that it might not be the most economical way to play it on Switch. Last year, Bandai Namco confirmed that the PAC-MAN Museum + will hit Switch earlier this year and will include 14 games in the series (including this one).

Whichever option you choose, it’s still good to see this classic get a new lease of life on the Nintendo system.
