A beautiful puzzle platformer that searches our radar is Offline, by developer Nerd Monkeys and publisher Hatinh Interactive.
It was originally confirmed for the end of June, but seemed to slip a bit, but the good news is that it’s out now on the Switch eShop in Europe; iIt has a 10% launch discount, so it will cost € 9.89 / £ 8.90 for the coming weeks. However, it comes shortly after the eShop in North America, but confirmed to arrive in that region on August 18th.
It’s certainly appealing, and you can see some of the developer’s pitch and gameplay details from the press release below.
Offline is an intelligent and poetic search for identity through a collection of interactive masterpieces, ”says Francisco Santos, lead artist of Nerd Monkeys.“ It pushes artistic innovation beyond pixels, inviting players to relax and reflect as they guide St. toward freedom. ”
The gameplay in Out of Line has been completely adapted to Nintendo’s Switch and revolves around San’s mysterious light spear, which can be used as a trampoline, lever, support, attack and even more. Puzzles become more and more complex towards later sections of the game, encouraging players to experiment and think outside the box to escape the Factories and claim San’s independence.
If you’re in Europe, let me know in the comments if you’re tempted to pick this up, or even if you’re going on your NA wish lists.
