The turn-based tactical epic of Square Enix Triangle Strategy will be released on Nintendo Switch this March. The game was rated by the Entertainment Software Rating Board for North America prior to release.
The title is rated ‘T’ for teenagers and contains gore, fantasy violence, language, light suggestive themes, and alcohol use. Here’s a rundown of the ESRB:
“This is an RPG adventure game in which players follow the story of a nobleman whose kingdom is on the brink of war. As the story progresses, players can interact with characters to find allies, make dialogue choices, and engage in tactical turn-based combat. Viewed from a 3/4 perspective from above, players place characters in a grid-based area using weapon strikes and magic to defeat enemy forces. Battles are accompanied by screams of pain, sounds of blows and screen-shaking effects. Cutscenes depict additional acts of violence and blood: a character with a pool of blood under his body, a character killed by an arrow, a character executed off-screen. Some female characters are created in outfits with a moderate neckline; there are hints in the dialogue (for example, “You really should use your head more often. That is, the one on your shoulders”; “You seem to be an honest person. I will be very happy to put you to bed … hahaha.” The game contains some dialogue references to wine, ale and “tipsy”; depicts a drunk character who speaks indistinctly, hiccups, and then loses consciousness. The word “shit” is heard in the game.
Earlier this week, Square Enix released an image of the official Nintendo Switch game box. You can see it in full in our previous post.
Triangle Strategy Team, Octopath Traveler and Bold by default the series also announced several games for 2022, so look forward to it.
