Atlus announced today that sales of Shin Megami Tensei V, exclusive to Switch (for now), have surpassed 1 million worldwide in less than six months.
As the last entry in Shin Megami Tensei fans had to wait over four years to get their hands on the game, which had been teased even before the Switch was released. To celebrate this achievement, Atlus has shared new art from character designer Masayuki Doi depicting the Nahobino you control for most of the game. Then we are more likely to swoon over that beautiful hair.
Back in January, Shin Megami Tensei V had already become the best-selling game in the series in just two months, and the next bestseller, Shin Megami Tensei IV on 3DS, sold over 600,000 copies. Except spin-off series A personcertainly.
However, this is pretty fantastic news for Atlus as it marks the fantastic return of the Shin Megami Tensei series. We think these high numbers are well deserved, as we called Shin Megami Tensei V “the best game in the series” in our review.
