Sea Of Stars, Sabotage Studio’s upcoming RPG and prequel to its 2018 hit The Messenger, is set to launch at some point in 2023.

Development is progressing smoothly at the moment, and as Sabotage announced in 2022, the game’s soundtrack will include music by legendary Japanese composer Yasunori Mitsuda, who has previously worked on games such as Chrono Trigger, Mario Party, and Xenoblade Chronicles 3.

Ahead of 2023, the studio shared a short 17-second clip from the game with a guest track from Mitsuda titled “Coral Cascades”. Check it out below:

What’s great about this clip is that not only do we enjoy a great musical score, but the gameplay itself also showcases how players will move around the world, showing impressive verticality and obviously some really great visual effects.

While we don’t have a firm release date yet, we’re certainly incredibly excited to learn more about the game in the coming weeks and months. The Messenger was a great action-platformer from the studio, so we’re sure it’s worth checking out.
