The story behind this game is about self-love and personality, and it’s something very personal to me. As an immigrant to the United States and someone who has struggled with their sense of identity in many different ways, I’ve always wanted to explore similar topics in the game. The main character in this game is gay and black; he is one of those characters that I would like to see in the games that I played when I was growing up. At Gardener, we wanted to tell the story in a way that should please the players.
The story isn’t the only part of the game that you enjoy; The gameplay has been designed to immerse you in a soothing state of flow. At first glance, this is a simple game: jump from leaf to leaf and then attack the flowers with a magic dash that spawns more leaves and propels you up. Dive a little deeper into the game and you will discover an incredible variety of game mechanics, with new obstacles appearing on each level. Unlike many platformers currently being released, we wanted this game to be relatively easy to learn and play, while still offering rewards for those who can reach a higher level of gameplay. If you’re a perfectionist, be sure to find hidden lovebirds on each tower, or earn three stars on each challenge level! If you’re only here for the story, you can turn on Help Mode whenever you get stuck in a level.
