Release Today – Party Chat Noise Reduction and Chat with Friends

The Xbox team is excited to keep coming up with new ways to make Xbox better, and you’ll be in the spotlight as we refine the experience and deliver brand new features based on your feedback. This month’s update adds more ways to connect and play with friends and communities, including chat noise suppression on Xbox Series X|S consoles and the ability to start a game from a friend’s shared game clip or screenshot on mobile and PC. .

Group chat noise reduction

If you’re using group chat on an Xbox Series X|S console, you may experience less unwanted noise and stutter than before. Noise canceling helps to remove noise from parties such as gamepad clicks, breathing, and background noise.

If you want certain types of background noise, such as music, to stay at your parties, you can also disable noise cancellation. Just open the manual, scroll to Parties and chatsand choose Options. There you can enable or disable noise reduction. We’re excited to have this feature launch today on Xbox Series X|S, and we’ll be rolling it out to other devices soon.

Dive straight into the game from shared shots of your friends on mobile and PC.

Millions of Xbox gamers are sharing game clips and screenshots with their friends via the link sharing feature released late last year. Now, friends with whom you share your game clips and screenshots can not only view your screenshots, but can immediately start playing on their device using cloud games. (Some games require Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for cloud gaming.)

So the next time a friend shares an epic moment from their favorite game like Forza Horizon 5just click play and start playing directly in the browser, right from their clip.
