Capcom just released a teaser trailer for Street Fighter 6to show more games this summer.
The company also revealed what appears to be a new walking logo, and what’s striking is that it’s a big change from what it was before. While previous Street Fighter logos used an eye-catching color scheme with a two-tone gradient (usually yellow and orange), this new logo very base:
Now there is every chance that this is just a placeholder logo and the final version will be presented later this year, but if this turns out not to be the case, then this is a major shift from what it was before. But maybe that’s the point? Capcom clearly wants to appeal to esports fans, and the new logo is very much in line with that.
Street Fighter 6 has not yet been confirmed for a specific platform. That fifth entry was a Sony-exclusive console, but prior to that, parts had appeared on many different systems, including the SNES, Game Boy, Game Boy Advance, and Nintendo 3DS.
The Switch isn’t new to the series either; we have Ultra Street Fighter II and Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection, and the upcoming Capcom Fighting Collection is also coming to the Nintendo hybrid console.
