Valve’s Steam Deck has already proven that it can run all kinds of video game emulators. What’s even more impressive is how capable it is when it comes to emulating the Wii U and 3DS.
As emphasized by the site Steam Deck HeadquartersValve’s portable PC not only can split screens between monitors using the correct emulators (Citra for 3DS and Cemu for Wii U), but can also recreate the gyroscope controls featured in some Wii U games.
This has been demonstrated in several Wii U games that are still not available on the Nintendo Switch – The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD and Star Fox Zero. You can watch full video Star Fox Zero is also in action.
And again, if you just want to play games on two screens on your 3DS (or Wii U), that’s also made possible by Steam Deck. Below is a “proof of concept” featuring The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D:
