FLUDD might not be a household name, but if you’re a fan of Mario, you’ve probably heard of this clever device before.
It first appeared in the 2002 version of GameCube Super Mario Sunshine and it’s an incredibly important tool for Mario throughout his adventure – a bit like the Poltergust 3000 in the Luigi’s Mansion would be. You may even have gone hand in hand with FLUDD when Nintendo relaunched Sunshine in the Super Mario 3D All-Stars anniversary collection last year.
To get to the point, it looks like FLUDD is back, but not in a way that everyone might have expected. In the latest Nintendo game Mario Golf: Super Rush makes a cameo as a corner post, and well, Mario online fans have naturally taken note:
As you can see above, he hopes people for a sequel to Mario’s 3D adventure on GameCube. While it’s probably best just to treat this like nothing more than an Easter egg, who knows what might be on the horizon.
