Nintendo has unveiled its OLED Switch with another of those lifestyle commercials – showing it to people playing it in real life.
It starts with a guy who spends some time with Metroid terror on the bed (credible), a woman at the pool enjoying the new Zelda title (come back, yeah … it could happen), and then we meet a man who enters his house and starts playing at it Diamond and Pearl Pokémon rebuild on a wooden bench in the hallway. Which one?!
Marketing companies are often known for inserting some weird scenes into tech trailers, but in this case, the scene in question seems to have tipped social media over the top. A tweet highlighting this “absurd scenario” in the 2:36 minute trailer is skipped with more than 26K likes – with several responses mentioning how it leads to bonkers.
A lot of other answers came up with all sorts of reasons why I could do this, what could in fact it means and others have come to his defense:
What is your own vision of the scene above? Was it weird, or might you see playing Pokémon on your OLED Switch (in the hallway) in the near future? Where do you usually play the Switch in your house? And is it anchored or in hand? Tell us what you think below.
