Random: Reviews of this hopeful ring fitting competitor are not very good

When Ring Fit Adventure was first announced, some of us weren’t convinced. Wii Sports was a great game, but in the end we gave it up badly and having all that extra hardware was a little painful. But we were wrong. Ring Fit Adventure is very good – good enough to create competition.

Enter Quell Hero, Morrama’s “future fitness gaming” design platform, which, like Ring Fit, challenges players to run around a linear 3D world and fight monsters. Turn? These are all boxing drills equipped with a tactile belt attached to resistance bands and motion tracking controllers.

It even looks a bit like a Wii peripheral, only much more chic.

The tactile sensations are new – the trailer promises that you will feel like being beaten (hurray?). There are even competitive and co-op modes that Ring Fit doesn’t have.

But Quell Hero may not be the future of fitness, and it certainly doesn’t look ready to take the Ring Fit throne.

“It’s already clear to me that Quell Hero won’t beat Nintendo’s title and the next big thing in fitness games,” he says. Adam Viestika from TechRadarwhich criticizes the limited exercise set and the $ 219 price tag, which is cheaper than the Nintendo Switch though. and Ring Fit Adventure is more expensive than simply Ring Fit, and not many other games. He even says that playing Wii Tennis with weighted bracelets feels “much more addictive than mindless boxing.”

“There is no reason to choose this over Ring Fit Adventure. [a] Quest 2 or even Wii Fit in this respect. […] Nintendo and Meta’s hardware isn’t just designed for fitness games, which means the value proposition is far higher than Quell Hero could ever hope. “

Then back to Ring Fit Adventure for us. Maybe it’s time to take Fitness boxing 2 …?
