Random: Portal 64 Demake shows portal running on “real N64 hardware”

valves Portal: Companion Collection we will see the release Portal and Portal 2 on a Nintendo system for the first time, but have you ever wondered what the original 2007 game might have looked like if it came out in the N64 era?

Well, a Portal 64 demake is currently in development. It’s still in development, but in the video below you can see a member of the project ‘LambertJamesd‘ showing the portal gun and portals. What’s even more impressive is that it appears to run on real hardware and can run up to six portals deep.

“The portal runs on real N64 hardware. In this update, I got the portal gun working with recursive portal rendering. I’ve also made huge strides behind the scenes in the game engine.”

The same creator lambertjamesd previously released Other Nintendo has inspired creations such as the Game Boy emulator, which supposedly runs on real hardware, and the N64 “real-time shadow”.
