We all remember the Nintendo DS fondly, right? A massive gray dual-screen contraption that puts Super Mario 64 right in the palm of your hand from day one? The laptop that brought us hundreds of classic games like Pokémon Black and White, Ghost Trick, Radiant Historia, and Animal Crossing: Wild World?
If you’re looking to play any of these games again – and you no longer have your dual-screen favorite – then one Reddit user might have the answer for you.
A few days ago a DS enthusiast MikeDubbs shared his hybrid DS-like creation online. Using a 3D printer, he created a grip for his Joy-Cons and then attached them to the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip to create the DS mini that many of us dreamed of (No? Just us?).
Joy-Cons easily connect to your phone via Bluetooth, and you just need to download an emulator for the Switch controls to match them with the phone, as well as another one to play DS games on it.
Of course, if you still have DS – you are lucky – then you probably not you need to go to the extra effort. However, it’s extremely exciting to see fans go to great lengths to create alternative ways to play their favorite games or create their own versions of their favorite consoles.
So, will there be a 3DS with a fully featured 3D slider next?
