Poll: Do you have this rare Twilight Princess box?

All of us at Nintendo Life are collectors, always on the lookout for unusual finds, Japanese-exclusive games, amazing region-exclusive box art, and all sorts of unusual and wonderful merchandise. However, this weekend we ran into something that we can’t find any reliable information about, so we need your help!

This boxed version of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess looks like an unfinished version of the final art for the full game. All the components of the key art are present, namely the diagonal color split and the Triforce in the middle, but without Link’s or Wolf’s faces or the rich yellow where the white is on the box.

It looks like it might be a PAL-only box, perhaps something that came with the Wii Zapper and Link’s Crossbow Training, perhaps, or maybe even a press copy that went out into the world. The cover itself is of high quality, definitely not something hastily printed in a second-hand shop on the lowest A4 and stuffed into the cover.

We’ve tried all our usual ways and explored all the internet dungeons to try and guess its origin, to no avail – it’s a puzzle that any Zelda game would be proud of. Frankly, we need a piece of heart or two!

So, we are turning to you! Let us know below if you’ve spotted it in the wild – or if you have this version – and drop us a comment if you have anything about this potentially rare find.
