Pokémon’s Diamond and Pearl remakes have been updated to version 1.2.0, here are the full patch notes

Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl on Nintendo Switch have been updated to version 1.2.0.

This is arguably the biggest update ever – with expanded Union Room features, added Colosseum battle feature, fixes and more. Here’s the full details from the Nintendo support page:

Ver. 1.2.0 (released February 21, 2022)

  • Expanded Union Room functions.
    • The maximum number of players you can play with via local or internet connection in Union Rooms has been increased to eight. In addition, by selecting “Welcome” or “Capsule Decorations”, you can show each other your trainer cards or capsule decorations.
  • Added an additional battle feature in the Colosseum.
    • Enter the Colosseum on the 2nd floor of the Pokémon Center to battle other players using your own rule sets.
    • In the Colosseum, you can set rules such as the number of Pokémon to send into battle as well as their levels, and play single, double, or multi-battles via local or internet connection.
  • Pokemon trading and battles
    • Some Pokémon obtained through unintentional methods or illegal modifications can no longer be used in Link Trades or Link Battles.
  • Fixed some issues for a more enjoyable gameplay experience.
