During Pokemon World Championships, an annual invitation-only esports event dedicated to pocket monsters that kicked off today, developer TiMi Studio Group announced that free MOBA pokemon unite will soon receive a new card and a recognizable legendary dragon of the third generation.

pokemon unite is a 5v5 multiplayer online battle arena from The Pokémon Company. Like Dota 2 or League of Legends, you select a Pokémon from a growing list and battle other pocket monsters to see which team has the most points over a given period of time. It can be exhilarating and frustrating, and TiMi Studio Group keeps it up to date by periodically adding new content. Just this week the developer introduced the pseudo-legendary dark rock Gen II Tyranitar as a melee wagon. Now the game is expanding with even more things.
YouTube video released today have revealed that the floating and overgrown island known as the Sky Ruins of Thia is “coming soon.” pokemon unite. The map features a swampy stone aesthetic and many monsters, such as Generation V’s Accelgor and Generation VI’s Bunnelby. In the center awaits the flying legendary dragon Gen III Rayquaza, the mascot of the 2005s. Pokémon Emerald which was first introduced in 2003 Ruby as well as Sapphire versions. It presumably fills the same role as the legendary Generation I Thunderbird Zapdos. Merge up to this point, Rayquaza is likely to be a wild map boss monster that appears in the last moments of the match, awarding a ton of points and instantly scoring goals within 30 seconds to the team that defeats him first.
However, as you can see from the video above, Teia’s Heavenly Ruins’ introduction to pokemon unite does not have a final release date. For now, there is only a vague “coming soon” announcement. This will be the seventh map in the game when it is added, making the stage selection even more varied.

Bye pokemon unite have just seen Tyranitar added to the game and will soon see Theia Sky Ruins as their new main map, fans of the popular MOBA are still gathering data to see what else TiMi Studio Group has in development. According to Dexertohackers found Gen I Scizor and Gen II Scyther to join pokemon unite in future. I guess we won’t have to wait long to find out how TiMi Studio Group and The Pokémon Company game anniversary celebration on adding even more monsters starting next month.
