Niantic has announced that its games will not be available for download in Russia and Belarus for the foreseeable future. Niantic is the latest video game company to take a stand and pledge support for Ukraine after the Russian invasion.
Niantic, known for creating Pokémon GO and Pikmin Bloom, has also said it will be suspending gameplay in the two countries soon.
The studio has made their position known before as they donated $200,000 last week to humanitarian organizations that support the people of Ukraine. Their staff raised another $75,000 in donations.
The move follows yesterday’s news that Nintendo is immediately halting exports to Russia following the company’s decision to suspend payments at online stores in the country.
